Dalkey Heritage Trails are an interactive digital StoryMap to help you explore the rich and varied heritage of Dalkey, one of Ireland’s most picturesque coastal towns, located just 10km south of Dublin city and easily accessible by DART.
Developed by Dalkey Tidy Towns, with the support of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and The Heritage Council of Ireland, the StoryMap features four themed walking routes: the Castle Street Heritage Trail, Bullock Harbour and Castle Trail, Coliemore & Vico Coastal Trail, and Quarry Trail.
The trails highlight a wide range of heritage sites, from medieval castles and historic streetscapes to coastal landscapes, villas, and landmarks connected to Ireland’s cultural and revolutionary past, while also reflecting Dalkey’s vibrant creative community and unique village atmosphere.
